Pie

FROM OCT 13 ...

Hey everyone this week has been interesting, good for the most part though. Elder Anderson and I are getting along pretty well. He is doing a good job adjusting and teaching.

On Wednesday I had a Dr. Appointment and we drove down another set of elders to the mission office because it was really close to my Dr. Appointment. Before we left we tried to get gas because the light was on and the car was only letting us put .9 of a gallon in the tank before it started over filling. So the gas tank was full but the meter said it was empty haha. So we decided to just drive it and see what happens. While we were at the mission office the fleet coordinator looked at the car and we scheduled an appointment to take it into the shop. We ended up driving all the way down there and back which was like 60 miles on empty haha I'm just destined to not have a car on my mission haha.

On Thursday the whole zone drove up to Julian to get some pie. Julian is pretty famous down here for their pie but the only bad thing is that it's in the middle of nowhere haha but it was good.

On Sunday we were in ward council and the bishop bore his testimony in tears for like half the meeting talking about the importance of keeping the youth active and getting them on missions. I don't know if I mentioned this last week but the reason we got whitewashed into the area was because the bishop here didn't want to share his missionaries with another ward. He told the ward council that they need to get us to work and then like half the ward council told us about the missionary work they are doing! It's pretty crazy!

This week we also prepared for a baptism! We came to the area and the only investigator we had already passed his baptism interview he just needed to quit smoking. He really just needed to be invited to baptism because the 2nd time I met him we committed him to be baptized and he accepted and hasn't smoked since.

Things in Ramona are great! The people are awesome the work is picking up so I can't complain! :)

Hope things are going great back home!

Love you. The church is true.
